Sunset Side Cottage Amenities, Rooms and Beds
Sunset Side Cottage is a four-bedroom A-frame at Five Mile Point on the east shore of Skaneateles Lake, about five miles south of the village. Here is everything inside and out, so you can pack light and plan well.
Rooms and Beds (Sleeps 8)
- Primary suite: king bed in the loft under the A-frame peak
- Bedroom 2: queen bed
- Bedroom 3: queen bed
- Bedroom 4: bunk bed
- Living area: pull-out sleeper sofa
- Bathrooms: 2 full baths (including a glass walk-in shower and a bathtub) and 1 half bath

- High-speed Wi-Fi, about 500 Mbps
- Home office with a door: work desk, 2 monitors, wireless keyboard and mouse, webcam and docking station (Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.8 or later)
- 3 smart TVs and a Bluetooth speaker
- Charging stations in every room

- Full kitchen with island seating and a separate dining table
- Gas stove and oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and microwave

- Over an acre of lawn with mature hardwoods and a stream on the south edge

Lake Access

- Dedicated renters dock (seasonal, roughly Memorial Day to early October) and small beach with a shallow entry

- Mooring about 30 feet offshore where you can keep your own boat overnight during your stay
- Lake wagon and lake towels

Arrival, Parking and Safety
- Self check-in with a keypad after 4 PM; checkout by 11 AM

- One exterior Ring doorbell camera at the front door
- Housekeeping is available at extra cost
House Rules
- Up to 8 guests; no parties or events
- No pets and no smoking
- Quiet hours 11 PM to 7 AM
- Walk to the lake by the road (please don't cut through neighbors' yards) and use the renters dock only
Amenity Questions
Is the Wi-Fi fast enough for video calls?
Yes. The connection runs about 500 Mbps, and the office has a door, a webcam and two monitors.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes, along with ceiling fans and portable fans.
Any kitchen tips?
The smoke alarms are sensitive. Run the range vent and the extra fan, and close the nearby bedroom door, when searing or air frying.
